Chia hsin Foundation was established in 1963 by Mr. Chang Min-Yu, whose humble beginnings and lack of access to formal education inspired a lifelong commitment to giving back to society.

In 1960, Mr. Chang created the Chia Hsin Scholarship Program. Three years later, he formally founded the Foundation, becoming the first privately funded organization in Taiwan to receive official registration—pioneering the development of private philanthropy in the country. For more than 67 years, the Foundation has awarded scholarships without interruption, reflecting its enduring dedication to education and social responsibility.

Today, the Foundation continues to uphold its mission of supporting disadvantaged youth. Each year, hundreds of outstanding students benefit from our programs, including high school and university students from low-income families, Indigenous children in underserved rural areas, and students with disabilities. By easing financial burdens, we empower them to pursue their studies with confidence and strive toward a brighter future.
