Social Engagement and Social Impact
A Cycle of Kindness, A Legacy of Care
Guided by the belief of giving back to society,
we work hand in hand with our communities to foster shared prosperity and build a brighter future for all.
Building on the 2023 initiative, CHC continued its “Spreading Love” theme in 2024, emphasizing empathy-driven participation over one-way giving. Activities fostered warm connections between volunteers and the community, reinforcing a shared sense of purpose and emotional growth.
CHC × Good Friend Mission
Since 2023, CHC has collaborated with the Good Friend Mission, a community organization located in Taipei’s Zhongshan District that offers skill-building courses in makeup, photography, painting, baking, and counseling seminars, and empowers underprivileged youth by providing diverse learning opportunities and boosting confidence through neighborhood resource integration. Together, we support youth development through mentorship activities such as basketball games, shared meals, and a 12-day cycling tour around Taiwan. CHC, headquartered in Zhongshan for nearly six decades, deeply identifies with the center’s mission and actively supports its expansion and resource development.

CHC × The Beaver Project
Since 2023, CHC has partnered with education innovator MEandMine and the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families to empower children through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), helping them build the knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed to shape their own futures. In 2024, the program welcomed Keedle Education, a specialist in early intervention education, further expanding its social impact by providing engaging, science-based learning experiences for children with developmental needs and their families.
Designed around exploratory learning materials and STEAM education principles, the program encourages curiosity and active participation through hands-on experiments and experiential activities. Children learn about topics such as the human digestive system, sensory development through creative projects, and emotional awareness in everyday interactions. At the same time, parents are equipped with practical tools and guidance to better support their children’s growth, fostering stronger family bonds and deeper mutual understanding.
Through this four-way partnership, CHC hopes to extend support to even more children and families in need. Inspired by the perseverance and ingenuity of beavers, the program encourages children to develop a growth mindset and resilience through SEL, empowering them to become the architects of their own happiness and future success.
Social Impact of the Beaver Project
。2025
In 2025, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) was officially incorporated into Taiwan’s national curriculum framework, marking an important milestone for SEL education. Through the Beaver Project, CHC continues to promote SEL while expanding its impact to the training of early intervention professionals, helping more children receive the emotional support they need to thrive.
This year, CHC sponsored a professional development program for early intervention practitioners from the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, led by Professor Kun-Tsan Lin of National Dong Hwa University. The training combined SEL principles with practical applications, equipping participants with tools they can apply directly in their work.
A total of 128 early intervention professionals took part in the program, which received an average satisfaction rating of over 4.5 out of 5. Participants reported gaining valuable SEL knowledge and greater confidence in applying these concepts to support children and families.
At CHC, we believe emotional learning is more than an educational approach—it is a foundation for lifelong growth. By investing in educator development, we are helping bring the benefits of SEL to more children and communities.

Employee-Child SEL Learning Experience
To extend the value of social and emotional learning beyond the community, CHC partnered with Keedle Education and MEandMine to host a special parent-child learning experience for employees and their families. Children aged 3 to 10, together with their parents, explored emotions, body awareness, and personal development through interactive learning kits and hands-on activities. Through play-based learning, families strengthened self-awareness, emotional regulation, and meaningful communication.
The event also provided employees with a deeper understanding of the impact and purpose of CHC’s support for early intervention and social-emotional education. More importantly, it created opportunities for families to build stronger connections through shared learning experiences. CHC believes that emotional intelligence is a vital foundation for children’s growth and a key driver of long-term social and sustainable development.

After-school Tutoring Program
CHC Group and Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) collaborated with Silicon Valley education start-up MEandMine to sponsor SEL’s Emotional Education Discovery Box at the end of 2023. This initiative reached 14 Family Support locations across various counties and cities, impacting 23 classes and benefiting a total of 677 children who received the Discovery Box as a Christmas gift.
On January 24, 2024, our colleagues had the opportunity to spend quality time with these children, helping them understand their emotions—a crucial aspect of their growth and development. During the games, we witnessed the children’s intelligence, flexible thinking, and potential. With proper guidance and support, they will undoubtedly thrive, realize their potential, and improve their self-confidence, perseverance, and social skills.
