Chia Hsin Cement Corp. ("CHC" or the "Chia Hsin Group") is a major cement manufacturer and distributor in North Asia and the fourth largest player in Taiwan. Headquartered in Taipei, its main manufacturing plants are located in Kaohsiung in Taiwan and in the Jiangsu Province in the PRC. It also has silo terminals located in Keelung, Taichung and Shanghai. CHC, which started as a cement manufacturer, has today diversified into other related businesses including cement storage, transportation, construction, leasing, general trading and investment holding. Geographically, CHC has expanded its business activities across the Taiwan Straits into the PRC. Its business activities in the PRC are operated through its 51.41% owned subsidiary, CHPL, who would share CHC's vision to become a leading player in the PRC cement market.
